Between work, family and everything else London throws at you, laundry is often the job that gets pushed to the weekend – and then the next one. A laundry collection and delivery service takes it off your plate entirely: we pick up from your door, clean everything with care and bring it back fresh, folded or on hangers.
At The Laundry Lab, the whole thing is booked online or through our app in a couple of minutes. Here’s exactly how it works, what it costs and how to get the best results.
In short: You book a collection slot online or in our app. Our driver collects your laundry from your address, we wash, dry clean or iron it according to your preferences, and our driver delivers it back to you. You can track your cleaning from your phone.
It’s a professional laundry and dry cleaning service that comes to you. Instead of carrying heavy bags to a launderette, or fitting dry cleaner visits around shop hours, you choose a time, hand your laundry to a driver and get it back clean.
With The Laundry Lab, a single collection can include:
Wash: everyday clothes, towels and bedding, washed and dried.
Wash and iron: washed, pressed and returned on hangers or folded.
Dry cleaning: for suits, coats, dresses and dry-clean-only items.
Wet cleaning: our eco-friendly, water-based method for delicate fabrics – find out more in What Is Wet Cleaning?
Ironing only: for clothes you’ve already washed.
Specialist care: duvets, curtains, leather and suede, wedding dresses, trainers, plus alterations and repairs.
Choose your service and the time you’d like our driver to collect, either on our booking page or in The Laundry Lab app (App Store or Google Play). The app also lets you schedule future pickups, track your cleaning and get updates.
Our driver arrives at your address at the time you selected. If you live in a flat or a building with a concierge or entry system, let us know any access instructions so we can reach you without delay.
Every item is cleaned according to your preferences and its care label – the right method, temperature and finish for each fabric. Everyday clothing is washed, delicate pieces get specialist treatment, and everything is ironed, folded or hung as requested.
Your fresh, clean clothes are packed and delivered back to your door. Give everything a quick check when it arrives, then simply put it away – no washing, drying or ironing required.
You don’t need to wash or sort anything perfectly, but a few minutes beforehand helps us take the best care of your clothes:
Empty pockets of coins, keys, receipts, tissues and pens.
Bag delicates and dry-clean-only items separately from everyday washing.
Point out any stains – and what caused them, if you know.
Mention existing damage, such as loose buttons or small tears.
Have everything ready by your collection time.
Prices depend on the service and the items. Some London laundry services charge by weight and others per item – at The Laundry Lab, we offer both, depending on what you need:

Washing, drying, folding and ironing for a household can easily take several hours a week. Handing it over frees that time for the things you’d actually rather be doing.
No launderette trips, no dash to the dry cleaner before closing and no hauling duvets on the bus.
Everyday washing, delicates, suits and bulky items can all go in one collection, and each is cleaned the right way.
We’re ISO 9001 certified for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management, so your laundry is handled to consistent, recognised standards.
It’s ideal for busy professionals who want shirts and suits ready for the week, families with a constant stream of school uniform, towels and bedding, people in flats with little space to dry clothes, and anyone with delicate or special-occasion pieces that need expert care.
We work with businesses too – from Airbnb hosts and boutique hotels to restaurants, salons and offices. See our business laundry services for details.
Clear, published prices with no surprises.
Flexible collection slots that fit around your week.
An easy way to share special instructions.
Specialist options for delicate fabrics, not just a standard wash.
Genuine customer reviews and recognised accreditations.
